Next, you will see an Eyecatch/Intermission screen. Here you can save your game and confirm the Trust levels of characters before continuing the story.
If you have followed this guide, completed all available Sub Events, Trust Events, Battle Bot Simulations with S Rank and chosen the best possible options for all answers, you would have maxed all character’s affinity by the end of Chapter 5.
The Team Status screen will not change much until an important part in the story so this section of the guide will show the Team Status screen from Chapter 6+.

**Note that this Story Event will cause currently unfinished Sub Events and Bromides to disappear

**Highly recommended that you leave a save on a separate slot at this point in the game
1. Choose a Deputy Captain
Here, you will need to choose a Deputy Captain in order to progress the story. You can only select heroines that are on affection Lv3 and in the event you have no heroine’s at Lv3, you will be forced to pick the heroine whom you have the highest affinity with.
But if you have been following this guide, you should have had all heroines at Lv4 for quite a long time and all 5 should be available as Deputy Captain candidates.
Regardless of the Deputy Captain you select, you will still deploy with Hatsuho as a teammate for the second Battle Part of this chapter.
Selecting a Deputy Captain will affect some things that will be listed in the following spoiler tag:

About selecting a Deputy Captain:
- Affects which heroine will be your teammate in Chapter 8’s Battle Part
- You will get the Heroine Epilogue (Ending Scene) of the Deputy Captain you select
- This decision essentially makes this the single branch in the games story
- Doesn’t have a major impact on the story outside of the epilogue
- You cannot change Deputy Captains after this decision
Once again, this is a very important decision so make sure to leave a save on a separate slot at this point in the game.
Once you have selected your Deputy Captain, talk to Sumire to advance the story.

Depending on who you selected as your Deputy Captain in Chapter 7’s ‘The Flower Division Hits Back‘, Kamiyama will be paired with the corresponding heroine in the Team Status screen.
Just for the sake of this guide, I picked Sakura. You are free to select whoever you like.
