[GE3] Abandoned God Arc Database

In God Eater 3, certain Abandoned Arc Skills only appear on Arcs of the corresponding part type. For example, an Abandoned Arc Skill that affects Melee damage will only appear on Melee-type Arcs and an Abandoned Arc Skill that affects Gun abilities will only appear on Gun-type Arcs. There are Skills that can appear on all Arcs, which in essence makes 4 overarching categories of Abandoned Arc Skills. (Take note that a Melee-type Skill can be plugged into all any Melee type God Arc and the same goes for Shields and Guns.)

The maximum level for a single Abandoned God Arc Skill is Level 5, but you may place the same Level 5 Skill into two Slots to make the effect Level 10. Most God Arc Skills increase at a given % per level, but certain Skills only activate at Level 5. Skills that only activate at Level 5 don’t work if they are not Level 5 and you cannot put two of the same skill into two slots to increase its effect. It either works or it doesn’t.

RECOMMENDED SKILLS

Recommended Skills are indicated by a RecommendedSignx20.png in the tables above. Compared to other God Eater games, the kinds of attack, defense and otherwise auxiliary increases you can get from your Build are nowhere near as much as they used to be. In most cases, you can either get a stable 5% attack increase using two slots or use the situation skills that give 10% increases. This means that carefully selecting skills for your Build is now not as imperative as it used to be, but it is still not something you must neglect.

But still, If you are trying to optimize your damage, the correct mindset is to build strong Elemental weapons and then alternate them for each Aragami weakness. Even though ◯◯  Element weapons only have 1 or 2 slots, the element damage will result in more than if you had a 4 slot non-elemental weapon and filled it with attacking skills. But take note that the Aragami weakness is the key to dealing damage and building 4 weapons for each element is a more time-consuming task.

If you don’t opt for Elemental gear, the build with the most possible space will have 4 slots on each your Melee Weapon, Gun & Shield. Taking this into account, put the Skills that you value the most on the gear that you are least likely to change. If you love that one Buckler shield and want to use it in all your loadouts, put the skills that are the most essential to you on it.

Noteworthy Melee Weapon Skills:
  • 11th Hour: Increase damage under 25 ST (Situational)
  • Vanquisher: Increase damage in combat with multiple Aragami (Situational)
  • Tricky: Increase Special Action damage
  • Slasher/Crusher/Piercer: Increase typed damage (Only use increases that affect your weapon’s type of damage)
  • Hold: Better on weapons that hit multiple times or Short Blades

The increases that aren’t situational are very small (5% if you use 2 slots) and the situational increases have the downside of not working when the conditions aren’t met. The Damage Under 25 ST is very strong if you know what you’re doing, but it doesn’t work well for certain weapons that either replenish stamina or drain it too fast. The Damage During Aragami Burst skill gives a really good increase but its not in the recommended list because we fundamentally shouldn’t be letting Aragami go into Burst.

Noteworthy Gun Skills:
  • Gun Pro: Reduces OP cost of bullets
  • Reinforce: OP heal reduction cost, if you are the healer of your team

The typed damage increases on Guns are small (5% if you use 2 slots) and the OP reduction doesn’t affect Custom Bullets. In my opinion, the Gun Only skills are not very good and I end up filling my Guns with universal skills anyway (Like Max Oracle increase)

Noteworthy Shield Skills:
  • Auto-guard: will probably turn you into a bad player if you rely on it)
  • Status Ailment Immunity: Useless against Aragami that don’t inflict respective ailment
  • Vigilant: Small defense increase
  • Ace: Defense in combat with multiple Aragami. Useless in 1-on-1 fights.
Noteworthy Universal Skills:
  • Health: Max HP increase
  • Oracle: Max Oracle increase. Useless if you don’t use Guns
  • Stamina: Max Stamina increase. Can be at odds with 11th Hour.
  • Bottomless: Bonus materials when devouring corpse. Great for farming
  • Arcfinder: Abandoned Arcs+1.Great for farming
  • Aficionado: Rare Abandoned Arcs. Great for farming
  • Light Sleeper & Sharp Analyst: Burst Arts/Accel Trigger leveling rate. Useless if your skills are maxed
  • Cardiograph: See enemy HP.

There are a few more good Skills such as the Bond Break rewards, Aragami HP Vision (can make NPC teammates do this for you) and the OP use reduction. Look at this list of noteworthy skills again and look over all the skills in this database. Think about what seems like the most worthwhile to you and assemble a build around those skills.

What my builds generally look like:

If I have bonus slots, I spent it on typed damage

  2. Rare God Arcs
  3. God Arcs+1

◯◯ Element 2 Slot Gun (When I’m not farming, which isn’t often)

  1. Max Oracle+
  2. Max Oracle+

4 Slot Buckler

  1. Max HP+
  2. Max HP+
  3. Max ST+
  4. Max ST+

This build covers most of my needs as a damage dealer and when farming. I train to play under 25 ST with most weapons as I personally feel like its the most situational skill that’s useful to my playstyle. But still, I’m just a guy on the internet so what I like might not be what you like. This is why I highly encourage players to think about their preferred playstyle and install skills that align with that.
