List of Memory Chip Effects in Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet

Memory Chips are passive effects that work like automatic bonuses on your weapons and accessories. When it comes to Accessory selection and Weapon building, they are extremely important as they can greatly power up your character. Higher probability Passive Effects are found on weapons and accessories of higher rank. Extreme Mode also plays a part in this.

All kinds of weapons come equipped with all kinds of Passive Effects and sometimes, the kinds of effects don’t even have any effect on the weapon (Like an Optical Bullet based Handgun coming equipped with Blast Damage Increase Passive). But since these effects can be traded between weapons, its recommended that you amass weapons with Passive Effects you are interested in.

Memory Chips on weapons can be switched out and increased at Liz’ smithy in Kirito’s Room. For more information, consult the Basic System & Facility Explanation guide.

The purpose of this post is to provide players with a clear list of Passive Effects that they can use as a shopping list when planning out their ultimate weapons.

The information in this post was cross referenced from a few Japanese strategy sites with a little bit of my own validation. The information on maxes was mostly gathered from Mudauchi:

~15% This is similar to the Hidden Attack skill in God Eater. It increases damage to enemies who are unsuspecting and aren’t in battle.

Close-Range Damage from Behind+

背後からの近接ダメージ+

~30% Increases close range damage to to back of enemies. Unclear whether this is physical attacks only or short range attacks as well.
Damage When Max HP+

 ~20%  Increases damage when you are at full HP.
Verge of Death Damage+

瀕死時ダメージ+

 ~30% Increases damage when your HP is ectremely low and you are about to die. Most likely kicks in when the screen turns red.
Critical Rate+

 ~30% Increases the probability of inflicting critical damage.
Critical Hit Damage+

 ~30% Increases the amount of damage dealt on a critical strike.
Max Bullet Capacity+
